Business Battlefield

Business Battlefield is a student-driven nonprofit initiative, which was held for the second time in November 2018 at Copenhagen Business School and financially supported by the Otto Mønsted Foundation. The purpose of the event is to test the students in several different disciplines related to leadership. This approach allows the students to practice and try out skills other than the traditional bookish skills. The event breaks with the more result oriented Case Competition structure by going for a process oriented approach. The focus is on the student’s specific skills, centering around the concept ‘thinking on your feet’, and the participants are observed and judged while they work. The participants are also given feedback on the process and their teamwork.

Business Battlefield builds a bridge between academia and business. This is achieved by partnering with companies like Netcompany, Carlsberg, Deloitte and many others. It ensures a high level of professionalism and gives the participants the best possible sparring. In 2017, Business Battlefield was exclusive to CBS students, but in 2018 it was made an open initiative to all students.

Simon Fibiger, Marketing Director at Carlsberg, says about Business Battlefield:
“Business battlefield is a powerful way to engage with young talents and to explore fresh perspectives on our business. It builds on our long-lasting partnership with CBS, and we keep enjoying coming back for opportunities like these. Cheers to a great initiative”
